Dr. Jim Guth, Executive Director

Jim was born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He is married to Patricia.

They will be celebrating their 39th anniversary in 2010. Jim and Pat have a 34-year-old son, Michael, who is a RN.

Jim earned a BS from Salisbury State College (now Salisbury University) in Education in 1969; a MA in Teaching from Duke University in 1972; and a doctoral degree in Education Administration and Supervision from North Carolina State University in 1983. Jim began his career as a public secondary school math teacher. He has worked as a public secondary school principal and private elementary school principal. Jim retired from the University of Florida in January 2004 after serving as Assistant to the Dean at the UF College of Nursing for 16½ years.  He is now serving as Executive Director of Florida Men of Integrity.

In 1993, Jim developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Since then, he has earned an Advanced Diploma in Practical Theology from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida, and attended classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Maitland, Florida. He has been a Deacon in his church for the past ten years.

Jim is one of the founders of Florida Men of Integrity. He served as a Men’s Ministry Representative for three years, Field Ministry Director for two years, and is currently the full-time Executive Director for Florida Men of Integrity, the field ministry in Florida for the National Coalition of Ministries to men.
